Index RS Movers: Winners and Losers

RS movers show what's changing fastest right now — which indices are gaining the most strength and have a high chance of moving into leadership, along with which indices have lost the most strength recently.

Reading the Lists

Toggle to WoW (week-over-week) when you want to catch a shift as early as possible. This view shows which indices gained the most in Relative Strength just the last week.

If an index has suddenly started gaining strength, this is where you'll spot it first — before it necessarily shows up anywhere else.

Toggle to 5W (five-week) when you want to see a broader trend, that is which indices gained the most Relative Strength over the past 5 Weeks. A single week can be noisy — one good or bad week doesn't always mean much on its own.

Looking at five weeks smooths that out, helping you tell a genuine, sustained move in strength apart from a short-lived bump.

Used together, WoW tells you what's moving right now, and 5W tells you whether that move has actual staying power.

Why This Can Differ From the Overall Ranking

An index can show up as a strong mover here — gaining more than any other index recently — simply because this only measures the increase in strength, not where that strength has landed it overall.

An index can move from an RS of 20 up to an RS of 60, a genuine 40-point gain in strength. But at RS 60, it still won't be anywhere near the top-ranked index overall.

Movement and current rank are two different things: movement — whether measured by WoW or 5W — shows how fast an index is gaining or losing strength, while current rank shows where it stands right now.

Common Questions

If an index tops the Winners list, does that make it the strongest index overall?
Not necessarily. It means that index gained the most relative strength over the period shown — its overall ranking depends on where it already stood before that gain.

Can I see RS trend/direction (gaining vs. losing), not just an index's current rank?
